In the South of France, garlic is used daily by many cooks, flavor may be the reason, but nutrition is the is used as worm and parasite cures for pets and is recommended for sleep disorders and all common ills. rubbed on toast or steeped in milk for head-ache,ear-ache,tooth-ache or belly-ache.there are entire books written about this wondrous bulb, and enough jokes to make you well.fear not the loss of friends but the loss of health if you avoid the fragrant herb.i use the green garlic stems and its cousin ramps, wild leeks and wild garlic to go along a perenial springtime cure after a winter of fireside pollution and indoor stagnation.generations of sturdy Mediterranean and south western Europeans can vouch to the health benefits of this most potent herbal value.
