Thank you so to the many who voted for me. Seriously

Now that the voting is over here is what is next.

Tomorrow night, Saturday February 19th, 2011. All the chefs, the community chefs ( that would include moi ) and selected community artists are gathering for a launch party!! There will be music with the lovely DJ Krista Lee of Magic. Some terrific nosh, and a cash bar.

I will get to meet my Chef Karen, of Entourage Lounge, the restaurant I was paired with!!  Because I won the vote, I will get to actually pick which piece of art we want to inspire our dinner and dessert entry for Voting Day on February 23rd, 2011. You can view the art gallery and decide your favorite here.

Two things for you to do:

Go out to eat!! Restaurant week ( February 20 – 25th ) is all about local select venues creating a special priced three course meal just for you!! Perfect time to try something new!! Some places are offering $ 5 lunch options!

Save the date February 23rd, 2011 and join me on Voting Day! This is about coming to meet “Team Karen” and voting  for the dishes we’ve created inspired by our chosen art!

Here is the exact menu for Restaurant Week from Entourage Lounge:

Special pricing – $ 20 Dinner Menu, does not include tax, gratuity or libation.

First Course

Choice 1: Cheeseburger Chowder– Delicious chunks of cheeseburger and potatoes in a cream sauce.

Choice 2: Chicken dumpling Soup– Spetzle dumplings and chunks of chicken in a cream broth garnished with homemade smoked gouda tator tots.

Choice 3: Caprese Salad– Buffalo mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, Fresh Basil covered with light vingerette.

Choice 4: Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls – Chicken, black beans, Monterey jack cheese lightly covered in buffalo sauce, wrapped in eggroll skin. Served with ranch dressing.

Second Course

Choice 1: Roasted Beet & Orange Salad– Feta cheese, candied pecans, red onion, shredded tortilla strips and chardonnay dressing.

Choice 2: Prosciutto & Gouda Panini-dried cured ham thinly sliced, smoked gouda cheese, foccica bread (cheese and onion baked into the bread) grilled to perfection.

Choice 3: Grilled Veggie Panini– grilled eggplant, roasted garlic, tomato, roasted red pepper, mozzarella & basil.

Choice 4: Chicken Panini– tender chicken slices, grilled eggplant, roasted garlic, tomato, roasted red pepper, mozzarella & basil.

Choice 5: Beef Panini-tender beef slices, red onion, red pepper, mozzarella and garlic.

Third Course

Choice 1: Tiramisu– Made of biscuits layered with whipped cream, mascarpone, flavored with coco.

Choice 2: Chocolate raspberry mousse cake– 3 layered chocolate cake filled with raspberry filling and chocolate whipped cream and cake is topped with chocolate ganache
